I have no idea, but if they had, it probably wouldn't refer to a particular video signal standard. That would be absolutely bizarre, to say the least.

Heh, I don't disagree. I posted some concern after that ridiculous VHS leak was posted because the video was 16:9 letterboxed on a 4:3 display, which would sort of hard to come by (not impossible, but certainly weird for a VHS->CRT hookup) unless the video was either natively output letterboxed or was compiled to letterboxed before being written to VHS.

I'm also going to be screwed over if they do the CEA thing. I don't feel like I could justify having two TV's in my apartment, so I go with one that my oXbox games look nice on: a 4:3 SD CRT of the Trinitron line.
