Not trying to be insulting, I didn't have one : myself until right before Reach came out, but that's the way the industry : is now. Standard TVs are going the way of VHS tapes. Not a single movie : developer out there goes into production thinking about how their film is : going to get formatted onto a VHS anymore, neither should game developers : be forced to work harder to support SDTV. It's the nature of the beast, my friend. I don't like widescreen in the first place, so why can't it be a preference? Why can't we have more horizontal resolution and more vertical resolution to go with it to fit the traditional 4:3 everyone outside of movie theaters was used to until about 5 years ago? Maybe I'm asking the tide to stop, and I don't expect it to, but 343i and other developers could at least give me a life raft. If they do with Halo 4 what they did/allowed to happen with Anniversary, I'm buying it used.
