That's what I'm thinking as well. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Years ago (during Halo ODST) I suggested a one way shield for bases tat can be turned off via a switch. HBOers, HIHers, & Bungie.neters all flat aout said that it wouldn't be possible andwould not work. Halo Reach comes and bam, that's a One Way shield on maps. Not activated via switches but it's still there. Now I;m in NO WAY saying that my posts about it lead to it being part of the game, just that Bungie helped me prove it was possible. If 343i linked the Booting detection to the weapons, then it shoul be possible. Only 343i could answer this of course, But I don't see why it couldn't be possible. As you repeated, it'll help a great deal in MM. Sure, players will stll be jerks and shoot at you enough to bring down your shields so the other team can kill ya faster, but they are already doing that. Hmm, maybe it should be tied to who takes down your shields also? Why should this idea only work with weapons? Why not vehicles as well? I've had team-mates betray for vehicles as well. NOWHERE as much as for weapons, but it still happens. But that's proberly asking for too much. lol
