In Response To: Reach will have a great legacy. (Leviathan) : Looking through the Halo: Essential Visual Guide today, I was really happy to : notice how when I turned to pages highlighting members of Noble Team, they : really jumped out at me. Case in point: I remember when Halo 2 came out, EVERYONE was displeased with it. You would have been hard pressed to find a single person who didn't have one complaint or another. I don't think it was that people despised the game, it was just that, at the time, there were certain things that stood out to them (such as the Arbiter levels, weapon changes and the cliffhanger ending), which people were not prepared for. Now, in the lens of nostalgia and without high expectations fuelled by years of hype, Halo 2, and its campaign specifically, is much better received. Like Halo 2, Bungie didn't play it "safe" with Reach. They made some serious changes which have caused some people to be turned off by this particular entry in the franchise. But as you said, it is Reach's uniqueness that will allow it to be appreciated in the years to come. It is this same uniqueness which makes certain aspects of Halo 2 interesting now in my opinion.
