Interesting that you're not using the dialogue from either Halo 1 or The Flood, but on the other hand the book's dialogue wasn't that great, and refers to stuff like Wellsley that you're presumably not including. Also, following the book completely probably wouldn't leave you much room to make changes.

: • Cortana : "If you're not too busy, Foehammer, we could use a lift. We
: have survivors to transport to the Command Shuttle."
: • Foehammer (COM) : "No word from Command, but I hear those crazy
: Helljumpers have already secured a base-ops camp."

I'm possibly up too late, but I had to read that a few times to get that there was a connection between these two lines.

: • Sgt. Johnson : "Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. Those boys sure do work
: fast."

Spelling out the name seems awkward when there's nobody but the player who wouldn't know the nickname.

: • Sgt. Johnson : "Hell, I'll roll with you myself! See the universe,
: shoot aliens! It's what I signed up for.

Seems a bit random when he's been doing that since back on the first level.
