: Thoughts/comments/flames? It only really works out because 1) Halo 3 (and 2) implemented online play so much better than other games. 2) there's a massive userbase to support said multiplayer. Yes, I do prefer the campaign mode and playing against AI with buddies vs playing against other humans. I pretty much exclusively play campaign and Horde on Gears of War 2 because matchmaking is so bad and horribly balanced. However, this is the last time I'll allow a Halo game to not have multiplayer bots. If you don't have online, Halo 2 and 3 are pretty much worthless unless you love the campaign. Halo 2 was barely playable splitscreen with just 4 people and I don't even know people that actually regularly play local games on Halo 3, the maps are just too big. Which is why I really hope the 'skulls' (we already know it's going to have them) for ODST are much more varied and larger in number than in 3, and give us a lot more interesting effects and challenges. And for the love of god, I would like a Blind skull that keeps the weapon on the screen so we can play with no HUD for once. And their future games better have offline tracking like Perfect Dark did so there's actually a point to local splitscreen multiplayer again. Still think it's silly that I still need to fire up a browser to see my statistics.
