Numbers are not needed, your detailed account is more than enough.

I like your idea mostly. Just one minor problem. I don't see why you would use electricity to create a counter force. The only real benefit would be to vaporize solid objects. You could feed electricity until you create a strong magnetic field that repels all objects. Otherwise, you would use electricity when you project intense focused bolts of static electricity to vaporize the objects. The capacitors still deplete. Just, the electricity actualy creates a "barrier". Besides that, your electromagnetic field shield makes sense.
