In Response To: Re: Energy shield questions (Hikaru-119) : The shield on the Chief is always emitted. My guess is through those pretty : little lights we see all over his armor. They serve no other purpose than : that. I'm pretty sure that one of the books mentions that those show that all the sections of the armor are connected properly. That way the person putting it on would know that the thighs are connected to the shins immediately, and not have to put everything else on first and hope it all works right, and if it doesn't they would have to take it off, attempt to fix the problem, and repeat the process.
