In the texture file of the tactical display, the two fleets are shown to scale with one another. The frigates are the correct length compared to the UNSC cruisers, and the Carriers are exactly 3 times the length of the Battle Cruisers, when counting pixels. Since the length of the Battle Cruiser is a known value, the Carrier becomes a known value. (THe Carrier can't be measured directly in the same way as it's always miniature. (It is scaled with the mini version of Mombasa so knowing some real building lengths would allow for the same calculation.
