In Response To: Re: I wonder... (Metatron) The manual in Halo 1 summarized the Fall of Reach's event pretty well. It could go like this: Upon return from the destruction of Halo, the Master Chief and Cortana were rescued and reunited with UNSC forces fighting the Covenant in deep space. [fast forward] Then, in early 2553, a UNSC colony was destroyed by Covenant forces, signalling a strong advancement by the Covenant into UNSC territory. Their trajectory of incursion pointed straight at the Sol star system. UNSC forces have been recalled from wherever they could to rally for the defense of Earth. --- Anyways, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Since the manual is finished and just undergoing final revisions, it won't be long until we know for sure. | |
