I don't want to get into commenting about the style, because I don't think yet another opinion is needed, but please watch out for:
- The design has more than 230pixels of dead (unusued) height right at the top of the page, which is the most immediate area any browser (include portable) loads. This seems like a lot of real estate waste.
- The dead pixels at the top are very "colour heavy", meaning that the color attracts your eyes to look there (great!), but there's nothing in it (bad!)
- the vectorized Sph't artwork that's the main "style element" of the design gets overlooked because as soon as you look at it, you start reading the links. This can be used for good (if the links are important), or bad (if the links are secondary).
- This is subjective to an extent, but in general "post information" shouldn't be separated. The design has not one, not two, but three different locations to show posting info (title, date, time and name). This is something a lot of boards, forums etc get wrong. If the information is irrelevant, don't show it (waste of time), if it's relevant, show it together when people still care (at the start). The only time when it's acceptable to separate title from poster is if you're writing a magazine section that's a regular column such as "News from the Editor" when everyone already knows who the editor is, or doesn't care.
A lot of what I've said applies to all the designs shown so far. Good luck and it's great that more people are working at this. Keep it up!

	Message: : I don't want to get into commenting about the style, because I don't think : yet another opinion is needed, but please watch out for: - The design has : more than 230pixels of dead (unusued) height right at the top of the page, : which is the most immediate area any browser (include portable) loads. : This seems like a lot of real estate waste. : - The dead pixels at the top are very "colour heavy", meaning that : the color attracts your eyes to look there (great!), but there's nothing : in it (bad!) : - the vectorized Sph't artwork that's the main "style element" of : the design gets overlooked because as soon as you look at it, you start : reading the links. This can be used for good (if the links are important), : or bad (if the links are secondary). : - This is subjective to an extent, but in general "post : information" shouldn't be separated. The design has not one, not two, : but three different locations to show posting info (title, date, time and : name). This is something a lot of boards, forums etc get wrong. If the : information is irrelevant, don't show it (waste of time), if it's : relevant, show it together when people still care (at the start). The only : time when it's acceptable to separate title from poster is if you're : writing a magazine section that's a regular column such as "News from : the Editor" when everyone already knows who the editor is, or doesn't : care. : A lot of what I've said applies to all the designs shown so far.
