My experience is that it is very difficult to design something by committee. For every pro there is con, people get frustrated and some will just walk away saying "Well do it yourself if you think you can do it better". Thanks for not walking away Forrest. The latest design is much neater with the left link panels (my Story page layout bias showing). When I first posted about the need for a MBO revamp I didn't stipulate any requirements other than the need to incorporate the news feed. http://forums.bungie.org/story/?noframes;read=60827 So everything was on the table, including the links. No link should be retained if it no longer serves its purpose or sends out the wrong impression to new people (i.e. this game is dead) Most of the MBO hosted sites are from another era. The whole concept of splitting the links into MBO hosted and Offworld is old fashioned and quite frankly sends out the wrong message. One set of links to the main Marathon sites is all that is needed. Inactive sites should be listed under Other links. As far as I can see hardly anyone uses alt.games.marathon now, it's full of spam, and pointing new people to it sends out the wrong message (i.e. this game is dead). I don't believe we need that set of links across the top of the page. It adds confusion to new people. Their first question will be "What is the difference between these links and the left panel links?" The MBO Archive is of historical interest only now. I hope this helps and thanks for your efforts.
