Hamish made it clear that everything that's on the front page now should stay on the front page. I took the liberty of not including the ones that don't load at all or only say "DEAD" or "CLOSED", but the rest I think have to stay. Hamish is the boss.

I am aiming for something like the Marathon interface style. Perhaps some images from the Aleph One interface theme might be useful, but I'm trying to keep the site as pure CSS as possible; not to mention fluid rather than fixed, which makes using images for theming a bit of a problem.

	Message: : Return visitors to the site aren't going to want to see What Is Marathon or : Get Marathon over and over again. They're going to be coming back to see : what's new. At the same time, newcomers aren't doing to care what's new : with a thing they've never heard of, so they will immediately ask : themselves "What's Marathon?" - and the box by that name, though : out of the way, is also obvious and easy to spot if you're asking yourself : that question. Likewise if you're asking "Where can I Get : Marathon?" : That would seem the opposite viewpoint that Treellama is pushing, so maybe : you two should argue about that. I'm happy to have to pulling in the other : direction though, makes me feel like my moderate approach is a good : compromise. : Hamish made it clear that everything that's on the front page now should stay : on the front page. I took the liberty of not including the ones that don't : load at all or only say "DEAD" or "CLOSED", but the : rest I think have to stay. Hamish is the boss. : I am aiming for something like the Marathon interface style. Perhaps some : images from the Aleph One interface theme might be useful, but I'm trying : to keep the site as pure CSS as possible; not to mention fluid rather than : fixed, which makes using images for theming a bit of a problem.
