In Response To: Re: Where are the Covenant A.I.'s? (g4v) I think we also need to add Time by Stephen Baxter to the HSP required reading list. Not only does it address issues about a periodic galactic-spanning extinction of life, and the implications of this, but it also talks about an alien race, which is entirely made up of A.I.s. That is, the members of the race are more like computers than organic life, however they are not much further advanced than humanity. However, our AIs must seem primitive to them, as the covenant's AI tech is primitive to us, and our theology and spiritualism is far more advanced than theirs, so it is like Halo in reversed roles. Although it is book two in a series, the novels are completely discontinuous, so they can be read as stand-alone novels. Just thought this was an apt time to voice my opinion :) - Reiginko
