Probably anything over the size of a small dog? You have no idea how big something could be. My theory's answer to the devoid of life quote is that most lifeforms in this galaxy could have been created by the forerunner on the halo(s). As I said, the Flood is like an organic superAI. Computer Ai's can only go into computers that fit the requirements. Old computers, or computers with insufficient processing power (possibly due to small size) would not be able to accomodate AIs. The Flood works the same way. There are biomass requirements for organisms that can be infected, they must have a certain amount of living tissue in order for alterations to DNA to be effective enough. So that could rule out jackals and grunts. Hunters are big enough. 343 GS also says that they must have sufficient cognitive capability, and Hunters seem pretty stupid. So there go them. |
