In Response To: How Halo Works!!!!! (im really onto something) (Killercow) When Cortana says that it's not a cudgel, I think you took it too literally, and don't have it in context. I believe the conversation goes something like this: "So, what kind of weapon is it?"
Cortana is merely pointing out that the Halo is not a weapon that can be used against a single target. Plus, your theory of the index is somewhat flawed. If it only destroyed one type of being, it's kind of pointless. Take for example a human and a cell of yeast. If I remember my biology right, a yeast bacteria and a human have 98% of the same DNA. Or is it a banana? One of the two. So, if you're suggesting that the Halo singles out that 2% of the DNA, that sounds kinda proposterous. It was just end up killing everything anyway, since much the species on Earth have very similar DNA. |
