In Response To: How Halo Works!!!!! (im really onto something) (Killercow) You say if the Forerunner didn't create Jackals, Grunts and Hunters, therefore not being programmed into the index, the Halo will not stop them, and leave them open to infection. Also, I find it impossible to speculate on things like this when the Monitor himself solves our question. When the chief asks: "Is it true?" The Monitor replies: "More or less. ..blah..blah..."this galaxy will be quite devoid of life, or anything with sufficient mass to sustain the flood." So basically, the monitor says the Halo kills everything that has a decent mass, so probably anything over the size of a small dog. Just another point where your theory is halted by the game itself.
