In Response To: Again Extra Credits is clueless (Cody Miller) : Mechanics with no or little counter play are extremely valuable, provided : they are difficult to obtain / easy to prevent, or otherwise require skill : to execute. I agree with this. Being able to kick ass for little while is a nice reward for winning the fight for the spawning power weapon or what have you. And I don't have a problem dying a couple times at the hands of somebody who beat me at that initial fight. In fact, I wish the power weapons and vehicles in Halo were more powerful. In Reach in particular, the Scorpion and the Wraith were death traps for the user if they had no cover from teammates. That's no fun...you should be able to dominate in a tank! That's why I love that the Mantis. It's the first time in a long while that I've actually had reason to be afraid of a vehicle, and have to retreat and find a creative way to circumvent it. This makes the game interesting and fun, and I don't see why it's a bad thing at all.
