If your BR has become a "spray n pray" weapon for you, I think you are using it wrong. In Halo 3, I was using the BR with near pinpoint accuracy and landing nearly every shot. The only time I really just "SnP" is when i was near point blank and was firing from the hip. The DMR is much slower than that. The BR is more versatile and can be just as accurate if in the right hands. And ask yourself this, in a SWAT game, what was more effective? Having a three-round burst or single-round fire? I have seen people tag near half field with the BR. Just as much if not more accurate than the DMR in Halo Reach. And if I want something for super-long range, then I'll grab the sniper-rifle. I could easily passover the DMR for the BR. Unless they some how radically change the difference between them, I probably disregard the DMR all together. Br has more rounds and more versatile in a mid range battlefield situation. For long range, I'll stick with the sniper-rifle. The covenant weapons are not redundant because of the opposite effect of the BR. BR are good at chipping health, but poor in chipping shields just like most human weapons. Covenant weapons have the opposite effect with them effectively taking down shields, but poor in doing health damage. But Hey, since you don't find it redundant, then they should bring the duel SMGs back too. Yeah they were supposed to take over the for the AR, but I always loved those bullet-hosers and duel weilding them was always a fun treat. it was my way of having fun.
