(uberfoop) : Of course, it could also be that we're never really alone in Halo 3; even in : Cortana, we're constantly receiving visits from Cortana and some angry : dude who thinks he's the Gravemind. One thing I think I should point out. I read something in an article that makes the whole Cortana visits creepier. Think: The Gravemind has Cortana, yet hasn't been able to wring the index from her. This suggests that Cortana is fighting him, yet the whole tone of most of the Cortana visits show that she either dislikes you "this place will become your tomb" or is wanting to guilt trip her for leaving you behind (Some notable exceptions are when she shows you the Halo forge). Especially the level Cortana, when she seemingly goes nuts. The article suggested that most, if not all of the Cortana visits were actually the Gravemind using her voice/memories to mess with your head and demoralizing you. And, playing through the game again after reading it, I'd say I agree. While not on par with Halo 1, that brings the level of creepy and grim up a notch, eh? Thoughts?
