In Response To: My opinion on this whole uproar. (Riceatron) : OH HEY, MY TRUCK IS ON FIRE, MAYBE I SHOULD CONTINUE DRIVING IT. : We didn't have health meters in Halo 2 or Halo 3. You did actually. Well, only the 'sheild' part was actually shown* but, whatever. Your sheilds and health were tied directly to the vehicles. Acting as one. If your sheilds were at 100%, so was your vehicle's. If you died, so did your vehicle. Damage inflicted to vehicles was almost entirely costmetic. Only a couple of peices actually mattered at all to your protection: the wraith hatch, the warthog turret shield, the front fusalage of the ghost etc. And only in that your player character could then be hit directly, it didn't affect the amount of damage you could take through your vehcile. The 'flaming engine block' animation didn't matter one iota. *interesting that after 2 games of not showing health suddenly the decide its a good idea to show health again. Bungie doesn't make perfect decisions all the time.
