| Uh, what's with the vehicles? | |

In Response To: Awesome. (Gravemind) : Something I noticed in the Firefight video is that the vehicle damage system : is (or at least appears to be) the same as in the beta (contrary to : statements that they went back to the Halo 3 system), albeit with some : tweaks such as the already confirmed beefing up (increased HP) of the : vehicles as well as no "GTA-style" delayed explosion. The player : driving the Ghost had nearly full shields and two thirds of his health, : yet a single shot blew him up. I was pretty stunned by this. The lack of a vehicle health bar is pretty upsetting. People need to know when they are pushing their luck. All we get is the vehicle starts smoking, which means you could have a decent amount of health left, or you're about to die. A boost in health is nice but somewhat meaningless if you don't know how much you have to begin with. This would be akin to making the shield and health bar invisible, having to rely only on the "broad sense" visual and audio cues. "Dang, my shields took a few dings because they flared up just now. I sure hope I have enough left to risk this maneuver..." The best part? It's too late to fix it. :\
