Campaign Reach Tweaks? | |

In Response To: My (and your) feature requests for Reach (FyreWulff) I agree with nearly all of those, but I'd prefer to tweak the Campaign. Such as: (These just popped into my head. Sorry if it's the wrong thread.) (Rhymed.) Bring back the massive debris from downed Phantoms. In Halo 3 it really felt like you'd accomplished something and changed the battlefield. Most notably if you brought one down in Tsavo. ODST took that away - probably due to processing limits, but it would be nice to have the epicness back. Have Spartans throw like ODSTs. I've hated throwing grenades in H2 and H3. H1 and ODST were fantastic, grenade-wise. Get some edginess happening. The Halo storylines have gotten very light and happy. Even Johnson and Keyes Jr kicking their respective buckets failed to stir a response in me. Captain Keyes' death in Halo 1 was amazing. ODST was taking a few more steps in the right direction, but I would have pictured half the squad being decimated, or finding teammates corpses rather than a bent sniper rifle. Seriously huge vehicle levels. I'm thinking double Uplift's length, and set it in an urban environment so it feels like you're actually getting somewhere. Seeing encounter after encounter of orange ground didn't indicate progress to me. Kizingo was a step closer to the right direction, but I would have preferred the option of a 'Hog somewhere in there. "Scorpion or DIE!" isn't quite the right way to go for a game that has prided itself on having multiple angles of attack.
