"Sticky aim" needs to be optional in Reach. | |

"Sticky aim/crosshair magnetism" (or whatever you want to call it), the gameplay feature that causes your targeting reticle to "gravitate" towards a target near it, has been an annoyance of mine for years, especially in the multiplayer arena. There's few things more annoying than having the game try to force my targeting reticle towards one target when I'm trying to aim at another target. For example, I'll be trying to aim at one enemy only for another enemy to walk in front, causing the game to try to force the crosshair onto that guy instead of the guy I'm trying to kill. Similarly, if I'm trying to aim at a fusion coil next to someone in order to blow them up with it, I don't want the damn game trying to force my aim over to the guy. These occurences happen with stunning regularity, and I get kind of sick of it after a while. As with any other part of my movement, I want complete control over my aim, and I don't want the game causing my crosshair to pull towards something I'm not trying to aim at. While magnetism/sticky aim might be useful for a lot of people, I don't much care for it and find it far more annoying than anything. For me, this is something where the game's help is neither wanted nor needed. I really hope I have the option to disable it in Reach.
