I'd definitely fall into the "wing" part of the : team, but as soon as a power weapon or an OS/cloak falls into my hands, : command immediately shifts. The person with rockets or cloak is more aware : of what options are available, he can be more aggressive, and as such : should be the one calling the shots. Letting the leader take all the power : weapons so the wing doesn't get into that situation is often impractical : due to distances and just plain inefficient in terms of team cohesion, so : the responsibility has to fall on the wing. : I think an optimal team would be two people that can fill both the lead and : wing roles equally, and know when to switch between. My (life) partner : Devin and I have been playing Halo together for six years and we feed off : each other very well. We do have defined roles, but they are nebulous at : best. Halo matches are quite dynamic and both players need to be capable : of whatever is required of them at any time. Dig the idea of potentially restructuring the team according to circumstances like equipment. The details of how this would work might take some finagling, but it does make some sense in certain cases -- for instance, if one of you ends up on top of a tower where you can see the whole level, giving you good capability to direct strategy, it makes sense for you to take command. Probably wouldn't want to swap roles constantly and willy-nilly, though, as I suspect that would be jarring and hard to adjust to.
