Malleable, yes, but I take pause at rewriting things established if there's no really compelling reason behind them. I like the idea of the Halo Bible to be fleshed out, certainly, but not rewritten.

The comment Staten made about Johnson's Boren's Syndrome being an undesirable 'fact' that should be changed is a perfect example. I don't see why it has to be altered. It was given their stamp of approval when it was first introduced (or at any rate wasn't stopped and nixed before publication of First Strike) so why the desire to change it.

The expansion of that side story to hint that the reading were off because he's a Spartan-I is an acceptable compromise. I just don't like things that are just changed outright from the way they were established.

That's cool you got to spend some time with Bungie-folk.
