The mention of the assassination of Herzog in the Halo Graphic : Novel (in fact it appears that Johnson was the assassin), the mentioning : of Coral in a few places, even the use of the Apocalypto on Bungie.net : (in their explanation of DOA4's Nicole) show that at least someone : inside of Bungie considers at least parts of ILB as canon. : That's enough for me. : Until Joe Staten or someone comes out at lays it all out, which they'll : probably never do, that's my stance. To play devil's advocate though, we don't know that the Herzog character and history wasn't already a part of the existing Halo Bible and was simply used by the ILB people. Or the reference to Apocalypto. It may not have originated with ILB, but was simply the public's first introduction to those termas an events.
