In Response To: But is it the Milky Way? (kapowaz) That galaxy definitely is the Milky Way. Bungie did a good job by putting the bar in the middle. See the link below. Our galaxy is most definitely a barred spiral. 2^18 puts us at a decent enough distance to see the galactic structures seen in the game.
