In Response To: To Explain Further... (LoneRanger 2.5) : Chief striding out of the smoke and into the sun was the "Things are : going to be different" moment for me. Which I was a big fan of. : This shot was the "Well, this time it's actually more of the same"
: He looked different. He looked real. He looked like someone who had seen
: I don't like the so-called change. Now I do understand exactly why I liked the trailer version. We knew the Chief from Halo 1 and 2. During that time, humans were losing and things were pretty hopeless. But now it's a new time; the Elites are our allies and we have a fighting chance. That's why I loved the brighter armor. It was such a drastic change from the melancholy feel of Halo 1 and 2. It gave me a sense of, "The chief is here; we're saved!" Couple that with the music, and you had a fucking awesome trailer. But now I don't have that feeling so much. Now I see the armor and say "Wow, the Chief loosk really deatiled," rather than, "Wow, the Chief is going to save the human race." Amazing what emotions simple armor can invoke, eh?
