In Response To: Harkening back to Halo 1 (in a good way) (Coweh) I didn't feel anything was out of place in the announcement trailer. It was Halo: Combat Evolved perfected. The epic scale, the mysterious art style, the appropriate graphical splendor. Everyhing was right. But now, it just seems to old. We're on the third installment now, and some things are getting old. We've been under the impression that this is going to be a darker game than the previous experiences, but the "new" armor is far from the gritty look we got back in May 2006. The armor's even using the same color palette as Halo 2. For me, that first trailer was Halo perfected. But now, it's Halo almost there. Maybe it'll all make sense once I play the final game though. Like I said, I've never doubted Bungie's decision-making ability.
