In Response To: The Halo Movie Conundrum *LONG* (Louis Wu) OK- I couldn't take the time to read every post on this topic, because I have to be somewhere in 10 minutes, and if this idea has been posted, I appologize. As far as the movie problem goes, I think all moviemakers should be responsible for finding their own means hosting the vids they make. Even the most populare ones. And what would happen is what Louis did with Team Scoog's recent 7he Bridge. He asked us if he could host it. And as the moderator of this website, I think the final decision should be his. I mean it's his bandwidth after all. And he could just host the movies that are up to his standards, instead of us reading between the lines of some set of rules, and trying to bend them around to fit the way our movie turns out. I realize this may cause a little bit of a time constraint on Louis, so.... Solution #2. Louis, have you ever considered a VBulleting type forum setup? The best part of those, is that they are super well organized, and you could elect a few of the current forum denizens to enforce forum rules of conduct. I know you could find trustworthy people to do this, because it's not hard work, and they can do it from home, and do it voluntarily. There's a lot of people committed to this website, and they would stick with you, and would be very willing to help out. I realize it's a big change, but it seems like every day here, the community grows. Eventually there will come a point where you'll have to delegate some authority, and I personally love VBulletin style forums. i think the community would welcome it as well, as Threads are easily identified and organized by the software, and we don't all always have to trudge through a day's worth of posts to check up on something that may have been going on the previous day. Just some suggestions I think might be worthwhile. Good Luck to you Louis, however things turn out. I admire all the work you put in here, and I think I speak for all of us, when I say we are exceedingly thankful for running HBO. Zytz
