In Response To: Re: The Halo Movie Conundrum *LONG* (Louis Wu) In short, the problem is this: you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. I recently went to a really great technology school to grab a degree. There were tons of people who had a real desire and thirst to be creative. The sad truth is that the vast majority of them will never get employment in the design industry simply because, while nice people capable of using the programs, their designs SUCK. Practice will get you so far but unless you have a real knack for things of a creative nature, there is a very strong chance that (regardless of how dedicated or driven you are) you will never make something others will enjoy. Every Mac ships with iMovie, but that doesn't mean that there are millions of people who can actually make good movies with it. It's a sad fact of life, but part of being human is to dare to dream. That's why in spite of everything that Louis has written here, he knows for certain that he will continue to get this same parade of the horribles as he did before he wrote it.
