: the coolest vans on the planet......;)

Considering that vans (IMHO) are inherently uncool, you guys made that one pretty damn cool.
Which flattop knuckles do you use on that? Ford? Dynatrac? Terraflex? Other?? Heim joints or ball joints?

: A fully autonomous/robotic vehicle to run from Barstow, CA to
: Las Vegas, NV entirely offroad, entirely by itself. Some links:

Wow. Very cool.
In the video it shows you guys doing a test run in an area that looks like the Potash area of Moab. It looks like a mild trail I drove one time that starts at the Jughandle Arch turnoff and winds its way up toward Dead-Horse Point. Is that the same trail?

I never knew the name of the trail so I'll just name it Blood Gulch Traverse.

: As far as the quarter leaf system, with an indepenent swingarm(as opposed to
: the solid axle like in the pic)

Of course. I just wanted to show the spring, not the axle in that pic.

: I think lateral stability could be an
: issue as the leafs tend to want to "walk" around on themselves.

Agreed. I should've explained that what I pictured was a pivot or fulcrum on the arm near the skidplate to provide torsional and lateral strength and rigidity. A reversed/inverted quarter elliptical spring would attach at the inner (above skidplating) end of the arm. REmember the old-style lever shock absorbers? A design simmilar to those could be used for shock absorption.
