In Response To: Analysis of the Warthog *long with images* (Speedy) Very interesting. I'm a rockcrawling/Jeeping hobbyist with a wannabe warthog (frankenstein - 60% Jeep, 20% Ford, 20% GM) in my garage, so I loved your article. I've changed the axles, suspension, drivetrain, gearing, locking differentials, frame mods, body mods, etc, so I'm very familiar with the technology of a highly-capable offroad-vehicle. As a result, I've always been curious about how realistic the warthog is and if Bungie put any thought into it, or just threw it together to have some kind of semblance to a functioning offroad vehicle. I've rolled a Warthog over for inspection many times and pondered different designs of electric motors, fluid/hydraulic drives, pneumatic or hydraulic steering, quarter-eliptical springs, coilover shocks, portal axles/differentials, magnetic brakes (reversed-polarity on a direct-current electric motor), the wheel being a 20-inch dia cylindrical/drum-style electric motor, magnetic suspension......... Have you considered the following as a source of power?
