| Minigun or not minigun? | |

Well I was thinking that no one could possibly lug a minigun around except for the cyborg. So what type of heavy fire support are those standard marines gunna have? I would like to see a belt fed light machinegun such as the m60 or M240G. You could have 1 guy opperating it and to fire accurately he would have to lie down in a prone position. Then like maybe half of the troops in your squad would be carring maybe 2 100round belts of ammo each. This was done a lot in the vietnam war(by US and VC forces), and the US army still does this. I don't want 1 guy lugging around a minigun unless it is the cyborg which is prolly strong enough to carry it easily. This would bring a lot of stratagey into it the need to keep your man opperating the support weapon would be very important as he could force the Covs to keep their heads down while you pop another clip in or are calling in for reinforcements/air support. Also the troop using this support weapon could decide to fire it from the hip or shoulder but the acurracy firing from the hip would be bad and firing from shoulder would be poor at best. Maybe instead of having that big .50cal(?) on the jeep you could attach the light machine gun to it instead. But I really don't want to see halo turn into Quake with everyone running around with miniguns spraying thousands of rounds of ammunition everywhere. -wod`asini
