In Response To: Re: What About the 3rdparty story Parallels? (Steve Levinson)

Thanks for your suggustions Steve. Ill get a crack team of gnomes working on my spelling asap.

Regarding Seige of Nor'Korh, I have played that, and simply forgot about it. :D
Still, it did have odd parallels bettween M evil and M Trojan. At least in ym mind they do. :)

Again, I hope people could help out with contributing ideas on storyline parallels bettween the different marathon 3rd party scenerios. Although I have not played all scenerios you mentioned, I'll try to get around to it (in all that *spare time* of mine). :D

If only I could find one fo thoes infinite time loops that I couold do work in and play games in. :)

-Ernie TMBM

: The loops are virtually secret, as you really need to do strange things to
: switch plot lines, let alone get caught in a loop. MI was crazy - you
: could loop back to Acme Station forever and ever if you so chose.

: I agree. Rubicon may have imitated MI and its faults, but IMO it showed how
: MI *should* have been done.

: I'll get back to you on this when I have the time. Off hand, I would add
: Origin of the Species and Marathon Fell. There's also M Traveler, but it
: takes off in a completely wierd direction - and it becomes incredibly
: difficult in the final levels. I would definitely include the Black Series
: - wierd, but fun to play. I also enjoyed An AI Called Wanda, the Chai'etra
: Saga, and even the short scenario, Gemini Station, but we probably should
: try to limit the list to only the best and most extensive ones. Do you
: want to look at MI engine non-Marathon scenarios, too. There's Dissent,
: Devil in a Blue Dress and Excaliber, to name a few, but none of them
: relates to the Marathon universe in any way.

: You need to download and play the Siege of Nor'Korh, which is the prequil to
: Evil. Frigidman developed Siege after M2, before MI was even written (it
: can be played on either engine), and it takes place a few hundred years
: after then end of M2 (or MI, for that matter). You'll understand a lot
: more about Evil once you've played Siege.

: Thanks for taking this on, but you might want to have some volunteers help
: with your spelling ;-) .

: -Steve
