: Am I the only one here who didn't like MI levels?? It may be just because I
: didn't play M1 and M2 I started out by using the level select code, so
: when I finally decided to play the whole game through I knew how to beat
: some levels already. I found the MI levels far too big, I spent a lot of
: time wandering around after I had killed all the enemies looking for what
: to do next. Your mission objectives were not always clear, and with the
: multiple levels, the map became almost useless.
: I loved the M2 maps, they were well made, fit in perfectly with the story
: (like in Cidital levels, you are in a tower that looked just like the one
: on the picture) and had a perfect combination of monster killing and
: puzzle solving.

I'm with you. Minf is actually my least favorite of the trilogy. The map design doesn't work for me. There's rarely a sense of functional reality, the maps often seem cluttered, and they're just too damn big.

Also, I never liked the Minf story. Its flaws far outweigh its merits, IMO. I think the notion of bouncing around between alternate timelines is interesting, but the execution of actually getting that story across is pretty weak.
