Forgot about those, but maybe that's just because they never really did anything (at least on Total Carnage), with the obvious exception of those blasted green ones with grenade launchers... besides, the S'pht compilers are so much cooler. When I was writing that sentence, I was recalling the L-shaped room at the top of the stairway in the lava pit in "Welcome to the Revolution", where five or so compilers are shooting at hunters and troopers on the ledge above; this scene really stood out to me as having some sort of haunting, surreal beauty about it, besides being incredibly cool.

To reword my statement, in light of this newly-remembered information:
...and "Welcome to the Revolution" is, as far as I am concerned, the first time in any FPS that your enemies actually change sides and start helping you (like they by all rights should!).
