In Response To: Re: Cybertonics, AIs, and fundamental issues (Document) You guys are all trying to figure out whether or not an AI is this or an AI is that, but what If you are looking at it too closely? A human has an arm, but has more than that, and the same goes for a brain. This is just rampant(if you will) speculation, something for you guys to figure out, I have limited acces to the internet here. Maybe the Nerual Net is like the brain of the AI, and is supported by programs that sustain it and allow it to interact with the electronic world. Kind of like how my brain doesn't see things, my eyes do. The human body is really an autonumous network of organs that do their programmed job without the need for me to control them. I don't think digesting food. When Durundal tranfers himself over, he doesn't have to transfer the entire supporting programs of the Marathon, just some translators for the alien hardware. Like changing uniforms, or clothes. You wear a outdoor clothes to go hiking and you wear BDU's and a Tactical Vest to fight. You wear a Colony ship to travel, and a Pfhor ship to kick ass. Also, much like I am using a computer right now to talk to you, I can see Durundal using other systems like tools. The only way they "killed" Traxus was to shut down his "Host net". His body. Like dieing of asphixiation from lack of oxygen. Shut down the world around the AI, and it's gone. Also, about the one Copy only thing, maybe he's copy protected? If I was Strass I would copy-protect my AI's. ;) -Alex
