In Response To: Re: chapter 5 terminal needing editing (patrick) Frog Blast The Vent Core, poly 796, second message quote- -the power core which drives the trih xeem and it's ignition process was deactivated when the ship was overtaken, it's power routed elsewhere. The message concludes- -lets finish this. Needs an apostrophe or perhaps an echo of the end of the second message of the terminal at poly 682, included below. Moving on to poly 682, first message quote- -activating the trih xeem requires two command keys This is the only time (through 4.5 chapters) you have not italicized the name of the early nova device. I assume this was an oversight, as all other mentions of it on this level's terminals accord with your established norm. Same terminal, second message- -[the terminal duplicates the two it's errors of the second message at poly 796] It concludes with- -let us finish this once and for all --which suggests an alternative emendation of the end of the second message at poly 796 as noted above. Additional comments: 1) It's my opinion that chapter five's texture set does not lend itself to jjaro spacecraft--it feels more like being in a cave with the stone greys and clay browns (I find even the blues have an unshakable 'planetside' feel to them). I thought chapter four's textures worked well, for the most part, in its dreadnought levels--the comparison is noteworthy, given that the architecture here is largely the same. 2) The sole shield recharger on this level (at poly 783) is rather well hidden; I only found it after negating all the hostiles and completing the set objectives--when I was able to breathe easier and make a more thorough search. The perceived absence of a recharger is especially striking when confronted with poly 805, where two halves of a door texture(!) are apparently serving as two console screens in the mini command center at the bow of the ship. It would seem that if there was any place on the map that suggested a likely spot for a shield recharger it'd be here...
