In pre-X versions of Eternal, there was just a file called Prologue in the folder which had that terminal text in it. Most people didn't read it and got really confused as to what was going on, so I put it in the game instead. The Pfhor ranged attacks are actually more damaging than they're supposed to be, by mistake. The melee should be unchanged in actual Fighter attacks, but since your punches are already stronger than Fighter attacks, your staff hits have to hurt like a motherf[SHAFT]. Yeah, melee superiority emerged (unintentionally) as a kind of theme for Eternal's weapons. Not really surprising in retrospect because I absolutely adore melee combat - in Halo I like to get the plasma sword and charge headlong through the enemies ranks, cutting a swath as I go.
