: Good idea; I think that would work quite well.
What I did was turn the chip insert by the lower door into an inactive switch (i.e. it doesn't work), made the door to the control room already open, and turned the oxygen charger in the control room into a chip insert which lowers the walls to the Shaft.

Hmm... well I can retexture floors easily enough (the hassle is working on that map in visual mode), but about all I could do to the floors to add contrast like in those screenshots is change the color, and the only other appropriate color is grey, which doesn't contrast much with the browns since that (brown) is the most muted color in this set. I don't know if any of the newer editors out there (JUICE?) have the ability to find-and-replace one wall texture with another, but if they do I could change the walls up as well and possibly get a more interesting-looking map out of it.
