I forget whether there's an upper limit (maybe check when I get home), just experiment with what looks good and runs fast... oh, the build you have, if I recall correctly, doesn't buffer vertices, so it runs about 1/3 the speed of the newer one. (umm, but the new version has no mac build... yet... ) Dynamically culling vertices is an idea, but honestly is more effort than it's worth. : Mmm delecious screenshots Humm... making screenshots take-able is proving surprisingly hard! Dunno if it's a bug in SDL, yes I've tried locking/unlocking the surface, it still gives an access violation... you could add a line to the prefs file (Under /scenario... or if that version doesn't have prefs files yet, add the line to the map, yes it will work) "PrefsFullscreen 0" ...should make it run in a window, which is more likely to work as far as screenshots go. |
