No it doesn't look weird at all. They don't look much different than the sprites. Also, I'm all for the idea of taking snapshots of the 3D-models and turning them into sprites for lower end computers, if someone is willing to do it ;) I must say though, that I could play Giotto Island fine on my old 400 Mhz G4, and that's four years old now, I think. Most gamers out there have never systems than that.
