In Response To: Re: "In another time, I would have called him frie (Urban Reflex) : I think to kill off the Elites would end one of the most promising lines of : narrative we have in the Halo universe. The civil war and what it means to : the galaxy, the factions relationships with the other species (Brutes, : humans, San 'Shyuum.... Forerunner)... these could lead to interesting : situations in the future. : It's bad story telling to prematurely end storylines. I'm not suggesting they are going to kill of the Elites, just the Arbiter. Right now he stands in the way of 343's goals (Covenant aligning with Didact to destroy mankind). I very highly doubt that we will ever see friendly Elites again. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the Arbiter and his allies are eliminated in the next Traviss novel. And I've firmly set that as my "whelp, see you guys later" point. I'm hoping that 343 will surprise me, but I'm not going to place any money on it. That doesn't mean all Elites will be eliminated from the storyline, just the sympathetic to humans side. You know, so they can avoid having the pesky "are these guys good or bad?" questions. Nope, they are all bad now.
