In Response To: "She said that to me once..." *SP* (Urban Reflex) Just like when making anything: starting from scratch will always produce a more efficient and purpose-built design, vs. modifying an existing piece of hardware. I actually wouldn't have termed them "broken" at their core, it's more like they were shaped and molded specifically before they could form and harden into whatever "normal life" would've produced. This may look broken from one perspective, but really it's just a lack of certain developments that one might consider "normal" and we therefore term it "broken". I really think it does them a disservice to call them "broken". They just didn't form into something that certain people think they should have.
