He didn't say any of what you're implying. : To suggest that if you want to be a fan you suddenly 'owe' anybody anything : is downright offensive. You are a fan if you love the material. You are a : fan if you contribute to the community based on that love. You can even be : a fan if you pirate everything. He's just talking about supporting the industry, would you calm down? Also you both seem like you're forgetting that buying a game new, the price will usually go down (eventually)-- you can still buy a new copy of Halo 2, but it probably won't cost you nearly what it did 7 years ago.
