You seemed to be staying that the entirity of the blame lay with Bungie, and the entirity of the solution lay with 343i's potential design of Halo 4. I do not believe that to be the case. The 'old ways of thinking' in that MLG (and many people in the community) are obsessed about minutae of settings and weapons and maps, and design their league around what the players seem to think is the most competitive and customise just about everything about the game they can get their hands on - seemingly ignoring the fact that the vast majority of players (the potential audience that a spectator sport NEEDS) don't give a shit about that. If MLG don't think playing the latest Halo game to a professional, spectator tournament level is going to be financially viable, I'm ok with that. But turning it into a completely different game is pointless because (as we've seen) most people aren't interested in that. They came for Halo, not MLG-kinda-looks-like-halo. I have other critiques of MLG but I'll leave it at that for now.
