Overall, I believe Halo is still a good game for MLG and that MLG (or its successor) is good for Halo. While the MLG population is low and reflects the percentage of highly competitive players it is still a reasonable way to garner attention to the game. Under normal circumstances it should be a reasonable symbiotic relationship. You may have seen the posts about The Halo Council and Social Skirmish. You may even have watched them. The vidcasts represent interested fans who are giving free attention to Halo. They are fans of the game too. After watching Social Skirmish, I posted a rather scathing commentary on what I saw. It seems they may have had a change of heart or I missed that they really do understand what it takes to make a game successful. u4iX posted what believe are very common sense words in Killa_KC's MLG post about his experiences with the the Halo 4 Beta multiplayer. Within a few pages/post he was beaten down and called a shill until it sounded like he was quitting the MLG community. When I saw the mean spirited posts I felt that maybe it really is time for Halo to take a break from MLG. Maybe, just maybe some of those poisonous miserable wretches will finally move on.
