In Response To: Forerunner Visualization *IMG* (Leviathan) I really like the second image, the Constellation in the darkness look. The main image looks… I don't know… too much like an action figure that is not from Halo. The arm weapon in particular seems to me like it could be a spring loaded missile launcher from one of my old Transformers. I much prefer the solid approach of the old Bungie concept art that TDSpiral posted, or your constellation doodle. In my mind the almost miniature mech shown in the Bungie concept art would be able to reshape itself in limited ways, doing away with the integrated weapons in favor gloves or other manipulators. I also think nearby floating fire support in the form of mini sentinels would be great. The forerunner were all about their technology and I don't think one would go into battle just by himself. Small AI coordinated support platforms providing additional firepower, swarming and confusing the enemy, and watching his back would be very cool. Also I don't think Forerunner technology is about looking so odd that our feeble minds can't understand it. The beam towers on Halo are the best example. We didn't know what they were exactly for a long time, but guesses that they were moving or dissipating energy proved more or less correct once we figured out they were the Halo's firing mechanism. We didn't know the exact purpose of the towers, but the purpose never felt unknowable if that makes any sense. Sorry I can't be more supportive as I love all your work, and I certainly can't do better, but I just don't think you're there yet on this one.
